The Iconic Experience

This Final Drawing shows the aerial view of the proposal. A sprawling generic entity, that grows beyond the land of Hong Kong into the bay over water, slowly developing into a floating city. It is brought outside the boundries of the the city. The idea behind it is to guide the observer to seeing the city of Hong Kong from afar as an object, and yet at the same time being able to experience its generic Interior quality.

 

The sprawl contains particularly designed points of three typologies - a passage, plaza and a pierce, through which the view and experience is further enhanced.
