Reinventing Paris
(Model Spatial Reinterpretation)
Paris is a one point perspective city. The city is very constraint in terms of urban planning, with limitations on building height, inability to build underground and change the historical monuments. Due to this condition, the contemporary architectural practice must adapt which leads to projects being designed within the existing Historic context - Architecture within architecture. Since Haussmanian reforms, paris morphology uses one point perspective to create Icons. This study decomposes famous architectural monuments of the city, such as Louve, the church of Madelein and Palais Garnier, into variety of independent spaces. By using the catalogue of these spaces, we can begin to rearange them into various combinations which lead to unexpected results and possible designs.
